“Training is everything. The peach was once a bitter almond; cauliflower is nothing but cabbage with a college education.” - Mark Twain
We started off by doing a little shopping and then had lunch at the Kooky Canuck! I used my FourSquare discount and saved $3.00! I ordered the Cajun Cornish Hen with Beef Stroganoff (it was a side, crazy, I've always thought of it as an entree!) and salad. I ate most of the salad, a leg from the chicken, and some of the stroganoff. I brought the rest home for later.
I've also gotten to the point new bras are necessary. I've moved them to the last hook and they are still loose. I went to lanebryant.com and they were having a buy 2 get 2 free sale and 5 panties for $25. I was about to check out and I remembered to check for a coupon code! I found one and it saved me $25!!! Because of the extra savings I opted for next day delivery. I want to get them before we left and now it wasn't going to cost extra! When it was all over, with the sale and coupons, I save $142.50!
We bought some peaches from The Peach Shed several days ago. Blaine has been wanting a peach cobbler. I peeled and sliced about 8 peaches. I put them, a stick of butter, 3/4 cup of sugar, a teaspoon of vanilla extract, and a teaspoon of almond extract in a glass dish. I baked them for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. I didn't do it, but I suggest covering with foil!
Next I mixed a cup of sugar, cup of self-rising flour, and a cup of sugar all together (you might want to add a pinch of salt, I forgot). I poured it on top of the peaches. I baked this in a glass 9x13 dish for 50 minutes at 350 degrees. You want to make sure that it's nice and brown!
I like eating it with a little vanilla ice cream! I will definitely be ready for a fill when we get back!
